With a uniquely wide-ranging selection of films, SUNFILM ENTERTAINMENT is one of the leading independent home entertainment distributors in Germany.
The company was founded in 1999 by Wolfgang Carl and initially focussed its efforts on the expansion of its home entertainment business. In 2004, the company created its own theatrical distribution division and increased the sales of its television rights, establishing partnerships with most of the public, private and pay-TV broadcasters in Germany.
Right from the start SUNFILM ENTERTAINMENT has distributed films that have met with box-office success and critical acclaim; our titles are regularly to be found in the top ten of both the rental and sell-through charts. The key to our success is a careful selection of film titles that are excellent representatives of their particular genre.
